So even after we tried to warn you with our Beware the dreaded “MySpace Angles” post you’ve refused to give up on the hope that your MySpace hottie is, in fact, who she says she is. After all, she’s great, right? You two talk about EVERYTHING together through instant messenger and on the phone and you get along so well. She’s really into hearing about your ten hour long gaming marathons and doesn’t mind at all that you still live with your parents. She’s absolutely perfect. And incredibly HOT as well. After all, you’ve seen the pics to prove it.
But she still continues to shy away every time you mention meeting up face-to-face. She’s always got “that thing” going on this weekend or she’s just “oh-so-super shy” and tells you “maybe next week…or something.” So what gives, huh? It almost makes you start to wonder if…well, you know.
Well, far be it from us to tell you who to love. After all, beauty is only skin deep. We didn’t write the original post to be mean-spirited at all. However, we did feel it was nothing short of our civic duty to shed some light on the oh-so-pervasive phenomenon of the MySpace Angles.

We also enjoyed the comments from the ladies that felt the need to let us know that guys can be just as fraudulent in their portrayal of themselves online as young women can be. While we are ecstatic to have the feedback, we are compelled to point out that it’s not necessarily a newsflash that guys lie about themselves online. Unless you really thought that we believed every anonymous poster online was six-foot-three with chiseled muscles and a bank account that would PWN Donald Trump’s. After all, there is a reason we aren’t posting pictures of ourselves here: you’d just run away from your monitors screaming only to be found hours later huddled in a corner shivering in fright.
Yeah, we know that guys lie too. But the girls are just more fun to laugh at. Sorry, ladies. But you keep on filling our inbox, ok?
So we’ve dug a little deeper and have successfully brought to you a second installment of the infamous MySpace Angles phenomenon. It’s not that these girls are big, or ugly or men, it’s that they’re trying to hide the fact of who they really are in an attempt to trick a man into loving them. They’re not only decieving the people they’re trying to seduce, they’re ruining any chance of actually meeting someone who likes them for real. And, to top it all off, they’re punishing themselves by resorting to self-destructive patterns that will most likely end in tragedy, thus spiraling thier already low self esteem further into the abyss. The point is they’re deliberately taking misleading pictures of themselves.
A normal person with a normal person’s self-confidence wouldn’t need to try so hard, regardless of how fat or ugly they are. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and personality can be the dealbreaker there.
These women aren’t trying to “trick a man into loving them”. The reason women take pictures like this is to see themselves in a good light. They want to feel pretty and have proof of it. Everyone takes bad pictures, and there’s that one angle that ends up being a very good picture. Also, a lot of the “reality” pictures seem to be a lot more dated than the previous one. Maybe you should check the date stamp on them?

I for one, do not take angle shots. Yeah, this blog entry is shitty and shallow and obviously represents only a small fraction of the picture’s people’s lives. On the other hand, Myspace and Facebook and the rest aren’t exactly full-disclosure autobiographies, either.
Yes, these folks have the right to publish photos that show them at their best. That’s awesome. Good for them for putting their best foot (or typing finger, as the case may be) forward in the search for Twue Wub.
Thing is, as much right as Person A has to publish whatever, Person B has just as much right to laugh himself silly at Person A’s expense. Freedom of speech and of the press cuts both ways. Personnally by now ive seen the angles so much it was totally predictable which girl was gonna be fat in the next pic.. and the girl with the pointy chin (and gorgeous blue eyes) still has a pointy chin in the angle pic its just less obvious where as the big grin made it way more obvious.

I am a victim of this. The girl gave me a picture in which she looked gorgeous. She had a great voice on the phone too. But when I met her… ugh!… she was the ugliest fattest girl I’ve ever met. You know, just the fact that both pictures are available for people to find of the same person on their page, meant that they were not TRICKING you in anyway. If whoever found the good and bad shots can find them, why can’t any potential e-Romeos? If by chance I got a really good shot of myself, there’s no reason for me to intentially not post it, just because usually its hard to see that angle. So these girls are only guilty of being glad that they had a really amazing angle shot and wanted to share it with everyone. But the fact that their normal shots are ALSO available means that they did not really try to “trick” people. People who only judge by looks are the ones at fault.
PS: the pictures on this post weren’t that good. Half are just a good day VS a bad day, the girl isn’t bad looking at all. The other half seemed like they were a few years apart, and they could have really changed their body image by then. Are you really going to fault someone who looks perfectly fine now for having a bad picture from years ago? I can share the pain. It is horrible. I had to meet this girl that i had been talking to over the net for weeks. She was gorgeous. I showed her to my friends, they all agreed, i was certainly one of the luckiest guys around. Then came the day i was to meet her.I was nervous, but i thought it would be fun to try something new. So i went to my local market to meet her. She called me and told me she was around the corner of some shop, “hiding” from me. I thought she was being cute so i went to the corner of the store with my back turned. “Hi there” i said, not having seen my e-beauty yet. “Well hi there” she replied in one of the most arousing voices i had heard this side of a porno. “You can turn around now” she said in an oh-so-cute girly voice. I was expecting the gorgeous sun washed angel from her pictures. The beautiful and shining stunner. However, when my calm pirouette was complete i was met with something i didnt quite expect. I was face to face with 160kg of enchilada guzzling latino whale. “What? Where is she? No, no no no. She must be here, under the fat girl. she is the fat girl. what, the lighting was great in those pictures. She is kinda the same. But sooooo soooo huge.” was what rushed through my brain in a sporadic instant. Let me tell you, within 20 minutes i had to help my sister “tune up her jeep” and i was at home taking a hot shower and punishing myself.
So, after my long winded recount is there any more to say? Yes. I think it is sick that these people go to such great lengths to conceal their looks. Even when i was huge i never hid. if i found a shot where i looked thin, i would show it but always remind people that it was a good shot. And now that i am lean, i still show people the worst photos of the lot. You people sicken me, you really do. Sometimes i wonder, why bother? All these fat people really should lose weight. And that skinny chick, eugh, she needs to bulk up. What i am saying is; there would be no need for “angles” if fatty were to, as so brilliantly put before me, put down her fork, get up from the table and start moving those rolls around the block.

One of the most insulting things about this entire rantfest is the constant reference to putting down forks, and walking away from dinner tables.
We’re not all fat because we overeat. Some of us have gained 300+ pounds while recovering from surgeries which killed our pituitaries, and thus our thyroids. For those not in the know, those are the two glands in the body most responsible for metabolism, which governs how many calories you burn, how much fat you store, etc.
I, for one, went into the hospital at around 130-140 pounds (60-65kg). Being an athletic, and muscular 5′5″ (165cm), I was very fit, and looked quite good. Three months later, after two brain surgeries, with the mentioned effects, and an order of bedrest, and zero exertion, I was 430 pounds (195kg). I’ve since worked very hard to lose about 100 pounds (45kg) of that weight, but it is hard, since all of that bedrest meant that my bones and joints didn’t have a chance to adjust to all of that extra weight as it came on. Nevermind that it came on at recordbreaking speed. Whereas before I could easily walk for miles without a problem, suddenly I couldn’t make it more than half a block without serious pain. I’ve only recently, 5 years later, been able to overcome those issues and start to work on things again.
In that time, I also developed diabetes (again, due to the damage to my endocrine system from the tumor and surgeries). This has not helped any in my attempts, to be sure.
So, the next time you find yourself tempted to pronounce your godly verdict as to the solution to someone being more overweight than you find comfortable to look at, think twice about how stupid you’re going to sound, and how much you might frustrate them. I, at various points, have told myself I would slap, strangle, stab, kick, or kill the next person to make such an allusion.

Height+weight= knowledge and common sense. You just have to be intelligent, obviously there are too many tards looking for “holes” on the internet. Your just caught up in your own perceptions. But yes it can be confusing. Especially when you think a digital picture can accurately portrait any person in any lighting. Be selfish, One love.

So this must be really hard.
I mean, you can’t possibly know these women are fatter, or uglier. Becuase when you look upon the ’scary reality picture’ you suddenly go blind, or are incapable of retaining the information that indeed, they have pictures that are superhot vs. those that are much more realistic. This is not deception. It is taking very very flattering pictures compared to ordinary pictures, alongside eachother, that is surprising. But immediately upon viewing them, you should move along. This is not deception at all unless you can’t put two and two together. Move along and lust after the fake bots who never return your emails, or if you are so attractive, then talk to your model ladies or whatever. No reason to smear these women who ARE BEING HONEST, BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY YOU GOT THE PICTURES FROM SOMEWHERE.

you know its pretty bad when people do hide the truth but some of these pic are not of the same people, there is one that you can say that they are the same person. take the librarian pic for example, in one pic the girl has long red hair, in the other the girl has short black hair thoes are pic of 2 different people and another thing people change.
