How To Succeed With Women On The Phone

Whenever I hear that a guy is spending an hour on the phone with a girl, I want to slap some sense into him. I can almost excuse his mistake because we’re so used to being on our cell phones all day long. But, there’s really no logical reason why a guy would spend that kind of time on the phone talking with a girl. That’s time that could be spent with a girl.

Now, don’t misunderstand me. Phones can be useful to the single guy. They’re great for getting in touch with a woman after you meet her at a club or bar. But, for guys who want to meet women and be successful with them, phones just serve a purpose. So, let’s talk about how to use them properly to get the job done.

The Phone Is Not For Talking

Women and men use the phone differently. You already know this. Women can talk for hours on end with their friends about things that can put men into a boredom coma. Guys’ phone conversations last minutes, if that long. The problem is when a guy tries to talk on the phone with a girl. It’s against his nature. So, he ends up filling space with things that would make a rock yawn. And that’s not the way to build attraction in a girl.

Getting The Job Done

First, get the notion out of your head that you should be having romantic, hour-long phone conversations. Whoever spread that idea probably wasn’t very successful with women. Instead, you need to use the phone to connect quickly and set up a place to meet. Your ability to create attraction depends upon being in front of a girl. The phone (if you let it) just gets in your way.

Let’s say you’ve just met a gorgeous lady at a club. Get her phone number. Tell her you’ll call her. If a few days, make the call, but don’t waste time talking about the music at the club. Get to the point. Say something like, “Hey, it’s Jeremy from Friday night. I had a free minute and wanted to say hi. I’m not going to be available for a couple days. But, let’s grab some coffee Thursday afternoon.”

It’s short, sweet and gets the job done. You’re taking control of the situation.

Using The Phone As A Stepping Stone

The only purpose you have for calling a girl on the phone is to set a time to meet in person. That’s when you have the opportunity to arouse attraction. That’s when you can use body language and eye contact to flirt. You can’t do these things over the phone. Realize what the phone is there for. Pick it up and use it as a stepping stone to the end goal: getting the girl. Otherwise, you’re just sabotaging your chances.
